Job Summary:

As a Crew Lead Technician at Barron Equipment & Overhead Doors, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of overhead doors, dock levelers, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience as a crew lead in construction, as well as a solid background in stick welding, overhead doors (including sectional and rolling steel doors), and high-speed doors. Safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship are essential aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate a team of technicians to complete projects efficiently and safely.
• Perform stick welding to fabricate and repair door and dock leveler components.
• Install, maintain, and repair sectional, rolling steel, and high-speed doors in commercial and industrial settings.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of overhead door systems and dock levelers.
• Utilize forklifts and scissor lifts for elevated access and work.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with doors, dock levelers, and associated equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of service and repair activities.
• Promote a culture of safety within the team and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of service procedures and recommendations.
• Mentor and train junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Possess a CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus but not required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a crew lead in construction.
• Proficiency in stick welding for fabrication and repair work.
• Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead doors, including sectional, rolling steel, and high-speed doors.
• Skilled operation of forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
• A team-oriented attitude with exceptional communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CDL is a plus but not required.
