Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis, designing, and detailing of systems involving steel, concrete, masonry, and timber to support the design of retaining wall systems, building foundations, building steel frames, specialized wastewater concrete structures, and other structures
- Conduct site visits and assessments to verify compliance with design specifications and standards.
- Develop structural drawings for review, permitting, and construction submissions
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive and innovative structural solutions.
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
- Account for project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges
- Stay informed about industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure that designs remain current and in compliance.
- Support business development by fostering and sustaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
- EIT and/or Texas State Professional Engineer (PE) license in structural engineering (preferred, but not required)
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software, such as REVIT, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and Bluebeam
- Professional work experience in developing blueprints and designs for proposed structures
- Experience developing schematics for structures in accordance with client specifications and safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated knowledge in STAAD.Pro or other structural analysis program is preferred
- Knowledge of construction materials and their applications preferred
- 2 years of experience in structural engineering preferred
- Solid work ethic and demonstration of professionalism
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- A valid driver’s license
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. At this time, Barron Engineering is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.

Salary: DOE, includes bonuses
