Role Description
The CADD Technician supports engineering and design teams by preparing technical drawings, construction plans, and design documentation for land development, utility, infrastructure, and site development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Develop site plans, grading plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, roadway layouts, and stormwater plans.
- Assist engineering staff with drafting revisions, markups, and plan updates.
- Generate exhibits, technical diagrams, and permit submission drawings.
- Coordinate drawing production with engineers, surveyors, planners, and consultants.
- Incorporate survey data, engineering calculations, and design criteria into plan sets.
- Maintain drawing standards, templates, and file organization.
- Support QA/QC reviews and document revisions.
- Assist with as-built drawing updates and project closeout documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 2 years of civil drafting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
- Experience with land development, utility, roadway, or stormwater design drawings preferred.
- Understanding of civil engineering design standards and permitting documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of Florida permitting standards preferred.
