Senior/Principal Analytical Specialist
Currently partnering with a global CDMO serving pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. It delivers integrated, end-to-end solutions spanning from early-stage development to commercial supply. Supported by a network of fully-integrated cGMP facilities across Europe and North America, they excel in the development and manufacture of APIs, drug products, and lipid excipients. Its expertise covers diverse technology platforms including Peptides, Oligonucleotides, Lipids & LNPs, Injectables, Highly Potent & Oncology, and Small Molecules.
They are looking for a skilled Analytical Chemist to join our team, contributing to the development, optimization, and validation of analytical methods that support process development, clinical manufacturing, and regulatory submissions. This position will play a key role in advancing projects from early research through commercial readiness by applying advanced analytical technologies and ensuring data integrity across all activities.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and optimize analytical methods to support process and product development.
- Apply advanced instrumentation such as mass spectrometry (MS, LC/MS, LC/MS/MS, GC/MS) and process-scale chromatography to address project needs.
- Generate and maintain detailed technical reports, standard operating procedures, and regulatory documentation to support manufacturing and submissions.
- Drive analytical method development, qualification, and transfer into manufacturing environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues, provide analytical insights, and support process improvements.
- Contribute to the analytical sections of process descriptions and development proposals, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and required resources.
- Support batch testing, review, and release of drug substances and intermediates for use in clinical trials or registration programs.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental work, expenditures, and project progress to ensure clear communication with management and regulatory bodies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in analytical chemistry for internal teams, offering guidance on best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on expertise with analytical techniques including MS, LC/MS, GC/MS; strong background in method development and validation.
- Experience with process chromatography and analytical support for process development preferred.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and resolve analytical challenges effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing documentation for regulatory and manufacturing purposes.
