Regional Director, Business Development – Phase I CRO (West Coast, USA)

A leading, long-established Phase I clinical research organization is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth across the West Coast. What You Will Do
You will own the full business development cycle for early–late phase clinical services, with responsibilities including:
- Identifying and developing new sponsor partnerships across pharma, biotech, consumer health, medical device, and nutrition sectors
- Generating and qualifying opportunities for Phase I–IV clinical trials
- Leveraging industry intelligence, conference attendance, and professional networks to uncover new opportunities
- Leading RFP responses in collaboration with internal scientific and operational teams
- Managing client relationships and supporting key accounts to secure repeat business
- Tracking activity and pipeline through Salesforce
- Contributing to annual sales planning and long-term commercial strategy
- Representing the organization at select industry meetings and events

Required:
- 3–5 years of Business Development experience within a CRO (Clinical Research Organization)
- Direct experience selling Phase I services (Phase I–III preferred)
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP, and clinical trial operations
- Proven track record securing clinical trial work from biotech and/or pharma sponsors
- Excellent communication, proposal management, and relationship-building skills
- West Coast residency and ability to travel as needed
Strong Plus:
- Experience in dermatology, aesthetics, or dermal safety clinical studies
- Multicenter trial experience
- Exposure to or ability to engage with Asia-based sponsors or partners

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
