My client is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to drive the design, procurement, installation, and qualification of automation systems across our global manufacturing facilities. This role ensures efficient operations by enhancing existing systems and developing new automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, procure, and qualify new automation systems.
- Support automation projects globally, including technical feasibility and cost-saving initiatives.
- Interface with customers and vendors, acting as the technical lead on automation projects.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing automation equipment.
- Manage automation schedules, budgets, and vendor qualifications.
- Develop and maintain project specifications and delivery standards.
- Travel up to 30%, including internationally, to support global operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in automation engineering or a similar role.
- Expertise in designing electrical layouts and building electrical panels.
- Hands-on experience with wiring, PLC programming, and HMI programming.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
