Overview
Our Workers Compensation paralegals are expected to work closely with teammates and lawyers to ensure all clients have excellent experience with our Firm. As a Workers Compensation Paralegal, you will negotiate and resolve administrative issues that may arise and work as a point of contact to the department. Workers Compensation Paralegals at Barringer Law Firm are expected to keep up to date on relevant rules, regulations and requirements related to caseload. You will perform complex, detailed, and timely research, investigation, and legal and medical documentation, professional communication with medical professionals, outside entities, and insurance companies, correspondence, and or reporting. As a Workers Compensation Paralegal, it will be expected that you have mastered paralegal tasks and processes, are comfortable and willing to be the face and the lead of the Workers Compensation department as well as put in additional time to aid in the establishment of this thriving department.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Paralegal certification, associate's degree or higher (Experience may substitute)

Preferred skills include:
- At least four to seven years of legal experience.
- Workers' compensation experience.
- Experience in MyCase.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (must read, write, and speak both languages).
- Familiarity with Environmental Law, Family Law, and Workers Compensation Law is preferred.
