About the roles
Barrier South LLC is hiring for commercial waterproofing, air barrier, and insulation projects throughout Beaufort, Charleston and Savannah. We have openings for installers and field supervisors. Installers work with a crew to prepare surfaces and install building-envelope systems. Field supervisors lead crews, coordinate daily work, and help ensure projects are completed safely and according to specifications.
Responsibilities
Installers:
- Prepare surfaces and work areas for installation.
- Apply waterproofing and air barrier products and install insulation and related materials.
- Measure, cut, and fit materials to project requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment safely.
- Follow project plans, manufacturer instructions, and supervisor direction.
- Keep tools and work areas organized and report unsafe conditions or material issues.
Field Supervisors:
- Lead and coordinate crews performing waterproofing, air barrier, and insulation work.
- Review plans, work orders, and project requirements with the crew.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor progress and workmanship.
- Ensure systems and materials are installed according to project plans and manufacturer instructions.
- Enforce company and jobsite safety requirements.
- Coordinate with the project team, general contractor, and other trades.
- Track crew hours, job progress, material use, and project issues.
- Communicate delays or installation concerns to the appropriate manager.
- Train and support crew members.
All positions:
- Travel to project sites as needed.
- Work outdoors and follow company and jobsite safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work outdoors in changing jobsite conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry materials and perform physical work, including standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and work as part of a crew.
- Construction experience is helpful for installers; waterproofing, air barrier, or insulation experience is a plus.
- Relevant trade experience and crew-lead experience are preferred for supervisors.
- Ability to read plans and project instructions is preferred for supervisors.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
