Cortez - Site Services Technician

Position Description

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Faculty Maintenance Technician to join our Site Services team at Cortez District. The Site Services Technicians will be responsible for keeping mining facilities functioning and in good order.

Responsibilities

A successful candidate will be required to perform all fixed maintenance duties within a preventative maintenance organization including: facility maintenance, stick framing, concrete flatwork, excavation, tile setting, drywall repairs, painting, welding, reading blue prints, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven safe work record required
• Willing to work in a team based maintenance organization required
• Strong dedication to safety and courageous leadership required
• Willingness to learn and ability to work with all types of mining facilities required
• Minimum of two (2) years experience with facility maintenance in a mining environment preferred
• Possess strong knowledge/skills in roof repairs, tike work, construction tools and equipment, cutting, welding, door and lockset repairs, and layout skills preferred
• Previous supervision experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Oracle/EAM and other computer skills preferred
