Responsibilities:
Reporting to an Underground Maintenance Supervisor, the Underground Construction Technician is responsible for the following;
- Safely operate equipment
- Work in an Underground production zone
- Clean and Maintain Underground Sumps
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to identify wrench and socket sizes use drills impacts and grinders Required
- Ability to troubleshoot and replace all pumps and lines Required
- Basic fabrication skills including welding and cutting, brazing, arc welding, and air arc Preferred
- Ability to identify parts needed for repairs by make, model, size, and type required
- Ability to figure concrete yardage, set forms and finish concrete Required
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and the ability to apply those skills to troubleshoot and repair systems Preferred
- Identify basic rigging tools (slings, shackles, softeners) Required
- Ability to read and use precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, and hand tools Preferred
- Basic operation of forklift, skidsteer, Spraymec, transmixer, haul truck, loader, and scissor deck Preferred
- Knowledge and ability to install hardline and vent bag and ability to install and remove auxiliary fans Preferred
- Excellent safety and attendance record Required
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job Required
