Position Description:
The Nevada Gold Mines Greenfield Talent Program (GTP) is designed to provide new graduates with a period of transition from the academic to the workplace environment. During the first 12 months of the program, the new grad will work in an operations/maintenance environment while working rotating shifts on a crew. After completing the rotation, the grad will work as a relief supervisor managing a crew for 6 months to observe and learn key production and leadership behaviors. At the end of the 18-month program, they will move into the NGM Compass program and begin their technical role within the company. Once the successful graduate has completed all aspects of the program, including the Compass program, the new grad would receive an award of $10,000 Restricted Share Units (RSU)s.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related field or equivalent experience required
- Zero (0) to One (1) years’ experience Open Pit mining preferred
- Experience using Vulcan, Qpit, AutoCAD, Xeras, Deswik, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Excellent safety record with the ability to demonstrate safety leadership required
- Team leadership, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions for extended periods of time required
- Ability to cross-train within the mining engineering group required
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
- Technical communication and presentation skills
