Strawser Construction Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, is growing! We provide advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers' needs.We are currently looking forLaborersto fill our Crack Seal crews.
- General laborer duties associated with performing crack seal include extended periods of walking, laying materials in accordance with job specs, and cleaning roadway surfaces as needed
- May operate a variety of equipment and vehicles, including the transportation of construction equipment and materials
- Will be required to safely maintain traffic control including flagging duties
- Keep equipment and tools in good working condition
- Work in a team-orientedenvironment
- Perform other duties as assigned to assist the crew
- Must have a valid driver'slicense and clean driving record
- CDL preferred, must obtain within one year
- Previous highway experience preferred, OSHA 10 Hour Training or Flagger Certification a Plus!
- Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, and overnight travel with overnight stays
- Must be able to travel 75-90% of time
- Must adhere to our safety practices and procedures at all times
- Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to climb in and out of vehicles and/or equipment
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly required to stand and walk across uneven terrain
