Job Summary
The Aggregate Sales Representative is responsible for sales growth, profitability, and account penetration in the Aggregate line of business.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and qualify prospective customers and markets
- Evaluate potential business opportunities by analyzing market strategies, products and demands, delivery capabilities, risks, and customer support
- Maintain customer quotations, order entry, backlog reporting, accounts receivable coordination, and overall customer experience
- Collaborate with customer, production, and material distribution teams to ensure effective execution of customer requirements
- Educate customers on the selection and application of aggregate materials and logistics required to fulfill contract requirements
- Establish pricing strategies that balance profitability with long‑term territory and company objectives
- Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to product or service issues
- Partner closely with the Accounts Receivable team to manage collections and meet DOS targets
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in sales/marketing, related field, or equivalent experience of 5 years of aggregate sales
Skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive sales experience of aggregate construction materials and service
- Knowledge of aggregate construction materials application
- Knowledge of negotiation tactics, bid processes, pricing indexes and current costs
- Experience with city, county, state, federal commercial bidding/award procedures
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong math and computer skills with problem solving ability
- MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint and experience
- Previous experience with CRM programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with high level of self-confidence and energy.
