Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' well-being.
- Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by maintaining hygiene standards and assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
- Support residents in participating in social activities and community engagement to promote their independence.
- Uphold resident rights by advocating for their needs and preferences while fostering a respectful atmosphere.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's unique requirements.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Social work principles related to caregiving.
- Working within group homes or personal care home environments.
- Understanding of long-term care practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with home community care systems and resident rights advocacy.
