Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our finished products are packaged accurately, prepared professionally, and shipped efficiently to customers and partners across the country.
About The Role
- Assemble packaging materials and prepare merchandise for shipment while ensuring all products are packaged to Barrett specifications according to standard work instructions and quality standards.
- Perform electronic transactions within the Barrett MRP system accurately and timely to support shipping, inventory, and packaging operations.
- Create, update, and maintain packaging documentation, including detailed photos, to ensure consistency, traceability, and compliance with established procedures.
- Perform audits of packaging processes and completed shipments to ensure standards, specifications, and standard work instructions are being consistently followed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure products are packaged correctly, make recommendations to improve packing processes and operational efficiency, and perform other duties as directed by supervisor or management.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and loading/unloading trucks in a manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping environment strongly preferred.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 70 pounds in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong computer proficiency required, including experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Prior experience utilizing Great Plains or other MRP/ERP systems preferred, with the ability to accurately process electronic transactions and maintain shipping documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy in all shipping and packaging activities.
