Description

About The Role
- Coordinate the development and implementation of new machining, assembly, and surface finishing processes.
- Lead process risk assessment (Process FMEA) activities during the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and Continuously improve existing procedures, and related documentation.
- Ownership of new procedures, standards, and engineering processes necessary for implementation of new manufacturing processes and process equipment.
- Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
- Work with teams from design, program management, operations and sales to support and create all products.
- Perform administrative tasks, keep records, and train employees on company policies and procedures.
- Support new product introduction schedules as required by the Program Managers and others outside of the engineering department.
- Attend seminars or trade shows to stay up to date on latest technological advancements.
- Work closely with Operations personnel, CNC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality Engineers during start-up and production release.
- Document, track, and push to closure open issues or concerns during startup of new processes.
- Negotiate costs and terms with suppliers of equipment and tooling.
- Develop and maintain standards for the construction of new equipment and tooling.
- Develop and Maintain standards for the development of CNC programs and PLC Programs where applicable.
- All other duties as directed.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
- 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience as a manager highly desired.
- Detailed understanding of diagnostic, product test, failure analysis and debug techniques.
- Must be a proactive self-starter that can also work well with a team.
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional meetings and assign tasks to subordinates as well as stake holders outside the department.
- Desire to undertake a great deal of responsibility.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and oversee multiple projects.
- Must possess demonstrated problem solving ability.
- Proficiency with bench level measurement equipment is needed.
- Comfortable communicating with employees at all levels. Strong verbal and written communications skills are necessary.
