- Leadership & Strategy
- Oversee all operations including production, purchasing, inventory, quality control, engineering, and facility management.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to increase efficiency, quality, and profitability.
- Foster a positive company culture and support a safe, collaborative, and performance-driven workplace.
- Production Management
- Manage and optimize production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and cost targets.
- Work with engineering and design teams to ensure product specifications and standards are met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and process optimization.
- Financial & Operational Oversight
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies.
- Quality & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry standards.
- Ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Team Development
- Recruit, train, and manage department heads and staff across all operational areas.
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth.
- Customer & Vendor Relations
- Collaborate with sales and customer service to align production with customer demand.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 7 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in boat building or marine products.
- Proven track record in operational leadership, process improvement, and team management.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of marine manufacturing standards, regulations, and materials is a plus.
