The barre3 Play Lounge Associate is an integral part of the barre3 studio experience. They are responsible for up to (currently) up to 6 children at a time. The Play Lounge Associate ensures the safety of the children as well as strong client relationships while maintaining an organized, clean and welcoming play lounge atmosphere. Their goal is to create a safe and fun place for children to play, while their guardian is taking class. The Play Lounge Associate also helps host clients, speak to the barre3 brand, assist in marketing campaigns and is up to date with current happenings in the studio. They have a passion for fitness while embracing whole-body health and community connection as equally important pillars of barre3. They are warm, compassionate and value diversity.

Shifts Needed: At least two weekday mid-morning shifts 8:30-11:30 AM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Relationship building:
- Build strong relationships with kiddos. Interact, play and learn about the children who come to the studio.
- Create a warm and supportive studio environment while maintaining safety and play lounge rules.
- Communicate with guardians about what the child did during class, and both positive and negative behaviors exhibited.
- Execute strong communication skills and a professional presence to staff and clients
Sales:
- Inform clients and staff on all studio events and challenges
- Retain clients with methods shared by managers/owners
- Familiarity with brands on the studio retail floor
Organization:
- Maintain a clean and sanitary play lounge atmosphere at all times
Attend mandatory staff meeting:
- Including, but not limited to: quarterly meetings and specific campaign meetings/trainings
JOB DUTIES
Work a minimum of 2 shifts per week:
- Looking for at least two weekday mid-morning shifts 8:30-11:30 AM
- Available to substitute shifts
- Day care, nannying or education background preferred

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two years of childcare experience or education from a college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write emails, professional text messages, reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Has basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email and text, enter database information and download forms.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A CPR certification is required. If you need CPR certification a $60 credit will be given toward certification. Must be certified within 60 days of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
