POSITION SUMMARY: Operations Team members at barre3 Camas work as both a sales associate and play lounge (onsite childcare) team member. They are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming studio environment, while focusing on client connection and sales. They are asked to foster strong client relationships, provide exceptional childcare in a safe and supportive environment, and ensure the smooth daily operations of the studio. This includes sales responsibilities such as promoting memberships, retail, and class packages. Collaboration with the team is essential to maintain high operational standards, execute special projects, and contribute to a positive and memorable client experience. They also assist the Studio Owner with daily tasks for studio cleanliness and maintenance.
HOURS AND AVAILABILITY: Monday 5:40 am - 7:30 am and 8:15 - 11:15 am, Tuesday 5:40 - 7:30 am, Wednesday 5:40 am - 7:30 am and 8:15 - 11:15 am
REQUIRED TRAINING: This position serves as a barre3 brand ambassador and requires that you are familiar with barre3’s mission, vision, core values, and guiding principles. All Operations Team members are required to complete the required barre3 onboarding and sales training courses on the b3 HUB. This required training will equip the team member to provide a remarkable experience for clients that is aligned with the barre3 standards and values.
In studio training provided including but not limited to hours shadowing the role, time learning content, and anticipated training shifts.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Excellent Customer Service: Connect and engage with clients to provide a positive and memorable barre3 experience. This includes:
- Greeting and welcoming clients, addressing them by name
- Creating a warm and supportive studio environment
- Executing strong communication skills and a professional presence
- Problem solving - thinking on your feet, listening and empathizing
- Speaking confidently and authentically about the barre3 class types
Sales: Engage in sales conversations, guiding clients to the pricing option that best fits their needs. This includes:
- Knowing studio pricing options, policies, and sales tools
- Confidently implementing the barre3 sales approach - selling memberships, class packages, and retail to potential clients and existing members
- Demonstrating proficiency with Mariana Tek booking platform
- Utilizing studio specific sales tools to meet conversion and retention goals
- Supporting in-studio and off-site events as needed
Team Participation/Support: Work cohesively with the team to optimize daily operations with a spirit of cooperation. This includes:
- Partnering with other team members on shift to create a remarkable client experience
- Supporting fellow staff when possible by trading shifts and subbing
- Maintaining punctual, regular and predictable attendance
Cleaning : Maintain a welcoming lobby, front desk and bathrooms, by ensuring they are clean and tidy at all times. This includes:
- Sustaining a clean, sanitary and organized studio atmosphere at all times
- Preparing the studio for the following classes and shifts
- Ensuring the bathrooms are clean and stocked with all amenities
Play Lounge: Create a nurturing and engaging environment for children, incorporating educational and entertaining activities. This includes:
- Providing activities to engage children and welcome them into the space
- Connecting with parents before and after class
- Soothing upset children
- Kindly redirecting inappropriate behavior
- Working with the team to know when to pull a parent out of class
- Maintaining cleaning and safety standards, as determined by the studio
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Weekly Updates and Workshops:
- Studio owner posts a regular weekly update every Monday that is expected to be reviewed to ensure team members are up to date on new policies and procedures, events and studio campaigns.
- Workshops are periodically offered to create an opportunity to connect and experience share.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in customer service, sales, and childcare preferred
- Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including email, document creation, and data entry
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must pass a background check
- CPR certification required within 60 days of hire. Barre3 Camas will pay up to $60 reimbursement if needed.
