What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teachers position at Barre Unified Union School District?
The Barre Unified Union School District is seeking Substitutes for Barre City Elementary and Middle School, Barre Town Middle and Elementary School, Spaulding Educational Alternatives and Spaulding High School for the 2025-26 school year.
We are looking for individuals that are available on an on-call basis to cover teacher, paraeducator and clerical absences. Our substitutes must be energetic, friendly, professional and want to be a part of and support our positive learning environments.
Substitute Teachers will:
- Maintain a positive learning environment, and implement effective classroom management skills.
- Follow teacher's written lesson plans.
- Prepare a written summary of work completed.
- Follow all policies, rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject.
- Comply with all building and safety procedures and schedules.
Substitute Paraprofessionals will:
- Maintain a positive learning environment, and implement effective classroom management skills.
- Follow teacher's plans.
- Follow all policies, rules and procedures.
- Comply with all building and safety procedures and schedules.
Substitute Clerical will:
- Meet & Greet staff, students, employees and general public as needed.
- Follow the guidelines of the specific assignment.
