Seeking an experienced RN Infection Control/Staff Development Coordinator to join our skilled nursing facility. This dual-role position combines infection prevention expertise with staff development responsibilities, emphasizing epidemiology, public health practices, and administrative oversight.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct orientation for all new employees and provide ongoing training for current staff.
- Maintain a comprehensive training planner/schedule for all departments.
- Keep detailed records of all training sessions conducted.
Infection Prevention and Control
- Lead efforts to prevent, investigate, monitor, and report infectious disease outbreaks within the facility.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Vermont.
- Prior supervisory nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention principles and public health nursing practices, with hands-on experience.
