Barre Gardens Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Housekeeping Director to oversee the housekeeping operations at our skilled nursing facility in Barre, VT.

Shift Available

• Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce established housekeeping procedures

• Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment, including floor buffers and floor washers

• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as fixing leaky faucets or faulty light switches

• Lift and move heavy objects and remain on your feet for extended periods

• Supervise housekeeping staff and assign daily duties and responsibilities

• Ensure facility cleanliness meets health, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards

• Inspect resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces to maintain cleanliness and regulatory compliance

• Maintain housekeeping inventory and request supplies as needed

• Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or maintenance experience required

• Prior supervisory experience preferred

• Familiarity with commercial cleaning materials, equipment, and safety procedures

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

• Must be at least 18 years of age
