Barragan Corp International (BCI) is a nationwide risk management provider looking for experienced Construction Health and Safety Professionals for large construction projects throughout the United States. BCI is currently looking for an Safety Manager in the Ocean City in New Jersey .
Qualification;
- Five years of verifiable heavy civil construction work
- Safety Management experience in bridge construction
- 10 years of construction projects experience.
- 30-hour OSHA Training card with substantial construction safety experience and knowledge of bridge construction.
Job Purpose:
The Project Safety Manager ensures that Subcontractors comply with contractual and regulatory safety requirements. That project working conditions and work practices comply with industry standards.
Duties:
- Conduct daily safety assessments of working conditions, work practices, and workforce behavior.
- Review Job/Task Hazard Analysis (JHA / THA)
- Recommend preventive measures and practices as necessary.
- Attend safety committee; prepare and recommend policies and procedures.
- Develop and disseminate preventive information; conduct training.
- Review and approve contractor SSSP and ensure compliance with contractual safety requirements.
- Provide safety information as required by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends; publishing reports; writing newspaper articles and special bulletins.
- Provide weekly reports and project status
Skills/Qualifications:
Preferred experience working with the Army Corp of Engineers and EM-385 1-1 standard.
Experience coordinating safety activities with NJDOT, CQAE personnel, and other applicable parties.
1stAid/CPR, Analyzing Information, Informing Others, Written Communication, Judgment, Integrity, OSHA Compliance, Process Improvement; Research Skills, Attention to Detail, Innovation, Functional and Technical Skills; Physically Fit to access all areas of the site; Administrative Skills; Experience with developing SSSP, IIIP, EAP, FPP, JHA, and common management systems.
