By mid-morning, you’ve diagnosed a form issue, made a measured tweak on the mill, and verified a tighter tolerance that gets production humming. Before day’s end, you’ve documented modifications and collaborated with production and engineering to plan the next improvement.

Role Snapshot

We’re hiring on behalf of a manufacturing client for an expert who designs, builds, repairs, and maintains production dies and tooling. Your work safeguards uptime, elevates product quality, and enables efficient manufacturing.

Schedule & Pay

• Hours: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Compensation: $28–$35 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Construct, repair, and sustain production dies and tooling to exacting standards.
• Diagnose issues and enhance existing dies to improve performance and output quality.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications with precision.
• Set up and operate both manual and CNC equipment as needed.
• Perform meticulous inspection and measurement to confirm tooling accuracy.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to support daily manufacturing needs.
• Maintain accurate records for tooling work, modifications, and service history.
• Keep the toolroom safe, clean, and well-organized.
• Champion continuous improvement in tooling and process methods.

What You’ll Bring

• 5 years of tool and die experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge of die construction, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting.
• Fluency in reading/understanding blueprints and technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with lathes, mills, grinders, and general shop equipment.
• Mastery of precision measuring tools, tolerances, and inspection techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and systematic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and craftsmanship.
