Step into a field-based sales role where your expertise in alarms, access control, fire, cameras, and monitoring turns prospects into loyal clients. You’ll spend your days meeting decision-makers on-site, tailoring solutions, and partnering with operations to bring systems to life.
A Day in the Life
- Start with a plan: review your pipeline and map your Tulsa-area visits.
- Prospect new residential and commercial accounts through cold calls, networking, referrals, and follow-up on leads.
- Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate risks and requirements for burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and monitoring services.
- Engineer solutions that align with codes, building layout, and customer priorities.
- Present proposals and pricing, negotiate terms, and win new business to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
- Coordinate a clean handoff to installation and service teams and track progress through activation.
- Nurture long-term relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Stay current on products, services, and industry regulations; represent the brand professionally in every interaction.
- Travel locally throughout Tulsa and surrounding areas.
Compensation and Schedule
- Hours: 8a–5p, Monday–Friday (some overtime may be required).
- Pay: Base in the range of $20–$25 per hour (or approximately $42K–$52K annually) Uncapped Commission. Commission kicks in at 90 days.
What You Bring
- Proven sales experience in the alarm and security industry.
(Burglar alarms, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, monitoring services, or related systems)
- Current industry license or eligibility to obtain required licensing.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a federal background check.
- Independent, organized, and effective time manager with strong consultative closing skills.
- Comfort prospecting and cold calling to build a territory.
- Clear written and verbal communication; professional presence.
- Capability to walk job sites, climb stairs, and perform basic physical tasks for site surveys.
Preferred
- Existing book of business or strong referral network.
- Experience selling monitoring agreements/recurring monthly revenue (RMR).
- Background in commercial accounts.
- Knowledge of local codes and compliance requirements.
- Comfort working autonomously without heavy oversight.
