Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable, motivated part-time residential construction laborer to assist with ongoing home construction and remodeling projects in the College Station area. This position is ideal for a college student or someone seeking flexible hours while gaining hands-on experience in residential construction.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with general residential construction and remodeling tasks
- Performing basic to intermediate carpentry work (framing assistance, trim, repairs, material installation)
- Painting and finishing work, including prep, masking, and clean-up
- Safely using and maintaining power tools and hand tools (drills, saws, nail guns, sanders, etc.)
- Loading/unloading materials and keeping the job site clean and organized
- Working alongside skilled tradesmen and following project instructions
- Following all safety procedures on job sites
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and job site safety
- Familiarity with carpentry, painting, and power tools preferred
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in Texas conditions
- Prior construction experience is a plus, but not required
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week
