Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and planning landscape projects that enhance the aesthetic and functional aspects of outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong understanding of horticulture, sustainable design practices, and proficiency in various design software. The Landscape Designer will collaborate with clients, architects, and construction teams to ensure the successful execution of projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop landscape designs that meet client specifications and project requirements.
- Utilize software tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape for creating detailed plans and presentations.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate conditions and gather necessary data for design development.
- Prepare construction documents including planting plans, hardscape layouts, and irrigation dplans.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to oversee the implementation of designs.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and sustainable practices in all designs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Provide ongoing landscape maintenance recommendations to clients post-installation.
Experience
- Proficiency in design software including SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Civil 3D, and Enscape.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles and landscaping techniques.
- Experience in project management and construction estimating is preferred.
- Familiarity with hardscape design elements and landscape maintenance practices.
- Background in civil engineering or land surveying is a plus.
