Purchasing/Inventory Control Specialist - $4,000 Hiring Sign-On Bonus

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Inventory Specialist to oversee our inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of supply chain dynamics. This role is crucial for ensuring that our inventory levels are optimized, costs are controlled, and procurement processes are efficient. The Inventory Specialist will work closely with various departments to maintain accurate inventory records and facilitate effective contract management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms for purchasing materials.
- Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, buying, and fabricating necessary components.
- Oversee contract negotiation and management to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- Utilize QuickBooks for tracking inventory levels, orders, deliveries, and returns.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to forecast demand and adjust inventory strategies accordingly.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance with regulations.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to buy at competitive prices.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.
- Experience in contract negotiation and management.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Enterprise inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively.
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
- Pull parts from inventory and put together job boxes for Technicians.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Operator machinery such as, Skid Steer, forklift
