Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated, eager team member to provide guests with premier sporting and outdoor experiences at the Barnsley Sporting Grounds. At the Barnsley Sporting Grounds, we provide guests with many outdoor experiences including clay shooting, wing shooting, trail riding, and long-range shooting. Our goal is to provide exceptional and premier outdoor experiences in a professional manner, ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests. As a shooting grounds staff member, you will be responsible for guiding/instructing guests in clay shooting, UTV trail riding, and long-range shooting. Additionally, you will assist in all the maintenance work required to make these experiences possible. This will include stocking trap machines with clays, picking up empty hulls, necessary landscape work, cleaning UTVs, maintaining UTV trails, and maintaining long-range rifle targets. Additionally, we are a quail hunting preserve, so we have a dog kennel that houses up to 20 dogs. This position will involve assisting our hunting operation as well. At times, you may be responsible for the care of our hunting dogs. This would involve cleaning kennels and feeding dogs.
Summary:
- Provide exceptional and premier outdoor experiences for guests, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Instruct guests on sporting clays and 5-stand shoots
- Guide UTV trail riding experiences
- Instruct long-range shooting activities
- Assist with hunting activities.
- Stock trap machines, pickup hulls, and maintain the overall appearance of sporting clay courses and 5-stand
- Maintain all UTV trails and ensure that all UTVs remain clean
- Maintain appearance of rifle range
- Perform all required landscaping activities (mowing, weed eating, mulching, etc.)
- Clean dog kennels and feed as necessary
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must have a Driver's License
- At least 1 year of experience in Hospitality preferred
- Shooting experience preferred
- Ability to operate UTVs, golf carts, mower, and other small engine equipment
- Must be able to work most weekends
Expected hours: 27.0 – 36.0 per week
