A Paraprofessional assists in implementing instructional plans through one-on-one or small group support to students. The para assists with preparing instructional materials, organizing classroom activities, and reinforcing lessons through additional practice and review. The para supports classroom management by assisting the teacher with supervising students to ensure they stay on task and providing additional support as needed.
The paraprofessional works with the classroom teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback on individual learning needs. The para participates in professional development and training related to Title I services, special education, and instructional methods. The para maintains the confidentiality of student records and adheres to district policies and procedures.
