Job Description:
- Buy and sell lifting and hauling equipment
- Locate, research, negotiate & close each transaction
- Request and research history reports for purchases
- Follow up with all paperwork - invoices, bills of sale, titles, etc.
- Manage and or participate in equipment inspections
- Ensure surplus equipment is ready to show to potential buyers
- Operational Testing
- Complete inspection documentation
- Manage required repairs
- Monitor and manage branch equipment needs – additions, dispositions, transfers and leases
- Establish market pricing for equipment additions, dispositions, internal leases, and annual valuations
- Some travel is required
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- 1 Years of equipment sales and procurement or 3 years heavy equipment experience
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to create Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- Metrics:
- Internal survey and feedback
- Equipment bought and sold timeliness, and cost compared to fair market value
