What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Assistant position at Barnhart Fleet Maintenance LLC?
Summary
Working closely with Supervisor; responsible for parts inventory, competitive price comparison, price negotiation, organization of inventory and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all paperwork is complete, legible and correct
- Negotiate and compare vendor parts pricing
- Receive parts into inventory
- Answering phone calls
- Communicate and build relationships with vendors for delivery of parts
- Maintain parts levels and initiate inventory cycle counts
- Order necessary parts and intake, label, and stocking of inventory parts
- Accurately enter Purchase Orders into Cetaris
- Assist with breakdowns and issuing Outside Purchase Orders
- Work closely with Service Writer to schedule jobs depending on parts availability
- Provide excellent customer service and respond in a timely manner.
- Work closely with accounting department on questions/issues dealing with billing
- Participate in daily/weekly meetings to ensure company goals and needs are being met
- Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties
- Other duties as assigned
