What you'll bring to the table: (Responsibilities)
- Performing monthly and fiscal year-end close activities by performing timely and accurate journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, bank statement reconciliations, ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
- Prepare intercompany inventory transfer reconciliations.
- Maintain depreciation schedules for all company locations.
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements, general ledgers, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assisting with the preparation and monitoring of budgets, as well as forecasting future expenditures.
- Assisting with tax return preparation and in some limited cases tax return filing.
- Lead accounts payable process to ensure proper coding and receipt of all invoices.
- Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with proper governmental accounting requirements.
- Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements.
Do you have the right mix of ingredients: (Requirements)
- A bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA Preferred.
- Must have at least 5 years' experience in accounting.
- Demonstrates strong technical accounting skills and an advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy.
- Proficient in ProSeries Tax software.
- Can manage a high volume of tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication is important for interacting with internal and external contacts.

- This is a full time, exempt position, and the base compensation for this opening is expected to be $95,000-$115,000 annualized, depending on level, candidate experience, skills and other factors.

- This position is full time in the office. Three days a week at the office located in Crown Point and 2 days a week at the office located in Valparaiso.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
