What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor and Employment Attorney position at Barnes & Thornburg LLP?
Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking an attorney with expertise in either traditional labor or employment litigation to join our Grand Rapids office and well-respected national practice. The ideal candidate has experience with the full array of labor and/or employment litigation work, including but not limited to 5 years of substantial knowledge and experience in either traditional labor matters or employment litigation.

Qualifications (Employment)
- Substantial single plaintiff employment litigation and counseling and/or traditional labor law experience
- Preferred candidates will also have experience with employment law advice and counseling, and wage and hour and employment class action litigation
- Outstanding writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Candidates should also be admitted and in good standing with the Michigan bar
- Substantial traditional labor law experience/knowledge on arbitrations, contract administration, and/or NLRB matters, including union avoidance and union campaigns and unfair labor practice defense
