Supervises the day to day operations of the gift shop. Directs and supervises employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, and in performing services for customers. Contributes to gift shops financial growth through driving sales, managing expenses and implementing plans for increased profitability.
Responsibilities
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
- Maintains an orderly workflow according to priorities. – maintain store’s cleanliness, loss prevention, and health and safety measures. Oversees, coordinates, and performs computerized cash register sales transactions and cash management.
- Monitors sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods. Provides sales coordination and problem resolution for staff.
- Creates an environment that engages employees and facilitates organic growth. Motivates; coaches for results; manages and ensures effective employee relations; create an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work atmosphere.

- 2-5 years

Salary : $35,589 - $57,949
