As a specialist, you will provide pharmaceutical services to patients in our Perioperative Services department! In this role, you will be able to provide pharmaceutical expertise, enhance medication use workflows and optimize the value, safety, and quality of patient care throughout the surgical continuum. Additionally, you will closely collaborate with multiple departments including the Departments of Anesthesiology, Surgery, Perioperative Services and Pharmacy.

Responsibilities
- Assess the overall status of the patient’s health condition and evaluates medication profile for optimal patient outcomes. Monitors therapy and goals of care. Documents all activities and communication as appropriate.
- Participates in professional development and research activities.
- Contributes to performance improvement, clinical effectiveness, drug use evaluation, and HSO/BJC committee activities.
- Participates in the education and training of pharmacy staff, residents and students, and serves as a role model and mentor.
