The Purchasing Coordinator supports organizational operations by managing procurement activities and vendor relationships. This role works closely with the Purchasing Agent and Director of Vendor Solutions and Logistics to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement, maintaining smooth organizational operations.

Purchasing Coordinator Essential Functions

• Prepare, process, and track purchase orders for all company locations
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing, product specifications, and order confirmations
• Assist with vendor setup and support negotiations for essential operational items (e.g., HME/DME)
• Verify purchase requisitions and recommend alternatives as needed
• Monitor inventory levels, schedule deliveries, and follow up on back-orders
• Resolve shipment discrepancies and coordinate returns of unusable items
• Track and log purchases and invoices in designated systems
• Review and recommend improvements to purchasing processes
• Foster a positive work environment, treating all colleagues with respect

Purchasing Coordinator Minimum Qualifications and Skills

• Associate’s degree or relevant experience in supply chain management (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organizational and time management skills
