Your Expertise
- 2 years of inspection experience in an aerospace environment
- Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and customer specifications
- Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
- A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
- Previous experience performing incoming inspection in an aerospace environment (Highly desirable)
- Experience reviewing supplier certification paperwork for conformance including, but not limited to, validating material properties, dimensional results, and compliance to customer specifications.
- Experience performing XRF verification of material and interpreting results (Highly desirable).
- Experience performing and documenting First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102.
- Proficient computer skills including a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Your Challenge
- Incoming inspection of castings, forgings, raw material, and semi-finished/ finished aerospace components,
- Sample inspect parts for conformance and review supplier certificates and test reports for conformance.
- Inspection includes visual and dimensional using required gaging and measuring equipment
- Interpret operation sheets and blueprints meet customer criteria for an acceptable part
- Ensure that all parts being inspected meet criteria for an acceptable part
- If a part is defective or needs re-work, Inspector must complete required paperwork associated with this task
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required
