Barnes Aerospace MRO East Granby has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a CNC Programming Engineer (Contractor) with a solid background in En who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced work environment. The CNC Programming Engineer (Contractor) will execute activities associated with the development, application and maintenance of manufacturing standards for the manufacturing processes. \nCore Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Lead turning (lathe and VTL) programming development, instruction, and debugging tasks in collaboration with Process Engineers and machining leads. \n
- Directly support operations with NC programming changes to address issues as they come up. \n
- Directly support NPI development with new NC programs. \n
- Work with Process Engineers with CAD model development and validation for milling and turning operations. \n
- Work directly with Senior Engineering staff on various engineering initiatives. \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Five or more years direct experience in turning CNC programming. \n
- Experience processing nickel and titanium based alloys in Aerospace machining operations. \n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees. \n
- Proficient in performing full set-ups, program edits, and holding high precision tolerances. \n
- Ability to program with NX CAM and manually as necessary. \n
- Must be familiar with Repair Technical Data e.g. Engine Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, OEM approved supplemental data, etc. \n
- Must have experience authoring typical shop process planning paperwork e.g. Routers, Operation Sheets, Inspection Forms, etc. \n
Education Requirements:

- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering a plus \n
