Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Woodworking Fork Lift Operator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate various types of material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within our warehouse and production areas. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely handling of materials to support our manufacturing processes and warehouse distribution.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct inventory management tasks including barcode scanning for logistics and updating warehouse management systems
- Pulling materials for specific jobs to be distributed throughout workplace
- Perform routine equipment repair checks and report maintenance needs to ensure mechanical reliability
- Follow safety standards in production environments, manual handling procedures, and heavy lifting protocols
- Support shop floor with material handling and distribution
- Additional Roles and responsibilities based on experience and knowledge
Requirements
- Knowledge of woodworking/millwork materials
- Valid certification in forklift operation and familiarity with equipment repair basics, additional training provided as needed
- Knowledge of inventory management
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including manual handling tasks involving materials of various sizes and weights
- Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to safety standards such as OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and documentation accuracy

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
