Duties- THIS IS A WEEKEND POSITION
- Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed, ensuring all pets are comfortable and well-cared-for.
- Engage in dog handling and training activities to promote good behavior and socialization among canine guests.
- Perform animal restraint tasks to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
- Monitor pet behavior continuously, recognizing signs of stress or illness, and communicate with staff when necessary.
- Maintain clean and organized kennels, play areas, and common spaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with pet sitting duties outside of boarding hours, offering companionship and enrichment activities.
- Support with basic animal health checks and record keeping when required.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dog handling, kennel work, or animal care is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with dog training techniques and animal restraint methods is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or large animals.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Demonstrated animal handling skills with patience, compassion, and attention to detail.
