Duties
- Maintain clean and sanitized kennels, cages, and surrounding areas to promote a healthy environment for animals
- Assist with animal handling, including feeding and exercising pets to keep them comfortable and happy
- Provide pet sitting services by monitoring animals’ behavior and ensuring their safety throughout their stay
- Handle outdoor work such as cleaning outdoor enclosures, and supervising playtime in secure outdoor spaces
- Assist with pet tasks including bathing, brushing to enhance pet hygiene and appearance
- Support team lifting efforts when moving large or heavy animal enclosures or supplies safely
Requirements
- Prior experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic, kennel, or pet care setting is highly preferred
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques, including dog training and restraint methods
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large animals or supplies
- Experience with pet grooming, pet sitting, or outdoor work involving animals is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent animal handling skills combined with attention to cleanliness and safety standards
