Doggie Daycare Pack Leader

Barklandia, LLC in Beaverton, OR is looking for one doggie daycare pack leader to join our 12 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and reliable.

The individual holding the position of Pack Leader is one who has experience working in an off leash, group play, doggie daycare facility or who is willing to engage in intensive training. This individual is responsible for the supervision, control of daycare dogs and ensuring the safety of the play group. The employee is also responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the playrooms, kennels, grooming room, and other areas of the facility as assigned. All employees are expected to demonstrate a positive attitude and engage in conduct that contributes to a positive working environment.

Dog Management & Care:

• Engage in professional development activities to ensure growth with understand of dogs in group settings and safe, humane, and effective dog handling techniques.
• Interact with dogs in playgroups using appropriate techniques and tools to ensure safe levels of play and minimizing stress levels of all dogs in playgroup.
• Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and spread attention and play among all dogs in playgroup.
• Control level of play by following dog management and control procedures and instructions provided by management.
• Use proper dog handling techniques as instructed by management.
• Use proper dog introduction procedures.
• Use appropriate praise and dog correction methods.
• Offer suggestions and ideas to improve the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of the company.
• Report any unusual canine behavior, or eliminations and injuries to management immediately.
• Maintain playroom as instructed.
• Other dog management duties as assigned.

Cleaning Duties:

• Complete general cleaning duties as posted or assigned
• Scoop dog waste immediately and dispose of it as instructed
• Mop up accidents immediately
• Dust mopping/wet-mopping floors as assigned.
• Removing trash from containers
• Disinfect outside area
• Changing/Laundering towels, beds, rags, etc.
• Cleaning water bowls, Kongs ®, and other toys
• Other cleaning duties as assigned

Office Duties

• Greeting customers and bringing dogs into playroom
• Handling payments
• Tracking dog attendance as needed
• Answering phones as needed
• Other general office duties as needed

Other Duties

• As assigned by owner or owner’s designee

Physical Requirements

This job includes prolonged standing, walking, and various bending and stretching. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. You may be asked to move quickly in the event of a situation in which the safety of a person or animal is at risk.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.75 and up
