Duties

• Perform meat processing using specialized machines, including meat cutters, slicers, and trimming tools, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat and fish according to established recipes and customer specifications
• Operate food production equipment safely while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a hygienic workspace
• Package meat products efficiently for retail display or wholesale distribution, ensuring proper labeling and portioning
• Conduct visual inspections for quality control, checking for freshness, appearance, and signs of spoilage or contamination
• Maintain accurate records of perishable goods management, including stock rotation and inventory tracking
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection and answering questions about meat cuts and preparation techniques

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food production, meat processing, or retail store environments with a focus on food handling and safety
• Strong knife skills with the ability to perform precise meat cutting, slicing techniques, and trimming methods
• Knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper hygiene standards
• Familiarity with meat processing machine operation and basic math skills for portioning and weight measurements
• Experience in culinary or kitchen settings is highly desirable, especially with fish handling or other perishable goods management
• Excellent attention to detail for visual inspection of quality control and food safety compliance
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
