Who we need:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Facilities to join our team in our facilities maintenance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our facilities at Battery Wharf, ensuring that they are well-maintained and meet the highest standards of safety and functionality. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities at Battery Wharf, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building structures.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure that all facilities are well-maintained and meet safety standards.
- Manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facilities meet the needs of the organization and its clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
What we’re looking for:
- EPA Universal certification.
- 5 years of experience in facilities management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of maintenance staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- experience creating and maintaining shop inventory
- Ability to stay on task with positive attitude
Preferred:
- Trade school
- Experience working in the Real Estate Development, Management, Rental, Leasing and Sales industry.
- Certification in Facilities Management or a related field.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
- Experience leading teams of 3 or more
Skills:
The successful candidate will use their strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills on a daily basis to oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities at Battery Wharf. They will work collaboratively with a diverse team to ensure that facilities meet the needs of the organization and its clients. Additionally, they will use their attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work. The preferred qualifications will allow the candidate to bring additional expertise and experience to the role.
