Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for various breeds of dogs.
- Assess each pet's grooming needs and provide appropriate care based on their individual requirements.
- Handle animals with care and compassion to ensure their comfort during grooming sessions.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observations about their health or behavior.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and building lasting relationships with pet owners.
- Assist in managing appointments and scheduling grooming sessions efficiently.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible.
Skills
- Proficient in animal handling with experience in dog handling and pet grooming techniques.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and their pets.
- Knowledge of veterinary care principles is a plus, enhancing your ability to recognize health concerns in pets.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.
