Product Sales Speacialist Bargo’s Guns & Ammo — Manchester, Kentucky
Bargo’s Guns & Ammo is hiring a Sales Specialist!
We are looking for a motivated, dependable salesperson who enjoys working with customers, knows or wants to learn firearms, and is willing to actively sell rather than simply wait on customers.
This is a sales position with a base wage plus firearm commissions and weekly sales bonuses, giving the right person the opportunity to significantly increase their weekly earnings through performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Greet customers and provide knowledgeable, friendly service
- Sell firearms, ammunition, optics, hunting equipment and accessories
- Ask questions to understand what the customer is looking for
- Recommend products based on the customer's needs and budget
- Follow up with customers and help generate repeat business
- Help with firearm transfers, paperwork and store procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional sales floor
- Receive, price, display and organize inventory
- Help create a positive customer experience
- Promote store specials, new inventory and upcoming events
- Assist with social media and other sales/marketing efforts when needed
- Learn our products and continually improve your sales skills
THIS IS A SALES JOB
We are looking for someone who is comfortable approaching customers, asking questions, making recommendations and asking for the sale.
You don't have to know everything about firearms on day one. A willingness to learn is important. We can teach product knowledge and our sales process, but we need someone who genuinely wants to sell and take care of customers.
COMPENSATION Base Pay
$300 per week
Firearm Commission
$20 commission for every firearm personally sold by you.
Firearms must be properly attributed to the salesperson who handled the sale.
Weekly Sales Production Bonus
In addition to the $20-per-firearm commission, you can earn the following weekly production bonus:

- 0–10 $0
- 11–13 $50
- 14–15 $100
- 16–17 $175
- 18–19 $250
- 20 $350
- 21–24 $425
- 25 $500
EXAMPLES
10 firearms:
$300 base $200 commission = $500
11 firearms:
$300 base $220 commission $50 bonus = $570
15 firearms:
$300 base $300 commission $100 bonus = $700
20 firearms:
$300 base $400 commission $350 bonus = $1,050
25 firearms:
$300 base $500 commission $500 bonus = $1,300
The more you sell, the more you earn.
IMPORTANT COMPENSATION TERMS
- Commission is paid only on firearms personally sold and properly attributed to the salesperson.
- Returned, cancelled or reversed firearm transactions may have the associated commission and/or bonus adjusted.
- Weekly sales bonuses are calculated based on the completed sales for that workweek.
- Firearm commissions and production bonuses are in addition to the weekly base pay.
- There is no separate commission on ammunition, optics, accessories or other non-firearm sales under this compensation plan.
- Sales performance, customer service, attendance and compliance with all store policies are expected.
- Compensation terms are subject to management review and may be modified with appropriate notice.

- Willing to learn firearms, hunting and outdoor products
- Comfortable working toward weekly sales goals
- Able to work independently
- Detail-oriented, especially with firearm transactions and paperwork
- Prior retail, firearms, hunting or sales experience is a plus
Firearms experience is preferred but not required for the right salesperson.
HOURS
Full-time, approximately 40 hours/week. Must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays. One weekday off per week of your choice and Sunday
Bargo's Guns & Ammo is currently closed on Sundays.
