Responsibilities
- Efficiently stock shelves with products, ensuring they are displayed attractively and organized by category.
- Monitor inventory levels to assist in inventory control and reorder supplies as necessary.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding product locations and availability, providing exceptional customer service.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing products.
- Maintain cleanliness in the stockroom and sales floor, ensuring a safe and tidy environment for both staff and customers.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.
- Operate forklifts safely when required for moving heavy items or restocking high shelves (if certified).
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or stock management is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly demeanor when interacting with customers.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Multilingual abilities are an advantage, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving protocols is beneficial.
- A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the store environment.
- Fork lift experience preferred
