What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Business Partner position at BarFly?

We're BarFly - you may know us better as the parent company for HopCat and Stella's Lounge. We’re looking for a seasoned Human Resources Business Partner who can align people strategy with business goals, coach leaders, and help build a high-performing, accountable culture.


We are looking for a HR Business Partner to lead a department of 3 and serve as a collaborative member of the home office and leadership team, within a hybrid work schedule (50% remote/50% office). This could be a great opportunity for someone who wants to lead and have impact with our employees as we continue to build new HopCat locations.


What we hope you'll bring:

  • 5–8 years of HR experience
  • Experience supporting hourly workforces (hospitality, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, or similar industries)
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while partnering closely with leadership
  • Multi-location and/or multi state experience
  • Restaurant or hospitality industry experience
  • HRIS system experience
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification


What you'll get to do:

This role is responsible for the leadership and guidance of the BarFly’s HR department, including all functional areas. The Business Partner is responsible for directing, developing, and managing the people and processes related to: the employee life cycle, with talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and offboarding; compensation, payroll and benefits; safety and health for our employees and performance management to ensure the success of our talent; our culture and talent brand; the way we handle administration and our ethical and legal approach to business. This position partners with the our leadership team, our Area Directors, GMs and other department managers and outside consultants.
