Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant Manager to support and lead food safety and quality systems in a manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with production and leadership teams to ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and consistent delivery of high-quality products.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support QA staff and daily quality operations
- Ensure compliance with SQF, GMPs, FDA, and customer standards
- Prepare for and support regulatory and third-party audits
- Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality improvements
- Develop and maintain SOPs and quality documentation
- Review finished product and pre-shipment quality requirements
- Partner with production teams to reinforce food safety culture
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in food manufacturing quality leadership
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and SQF
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including off-shifts and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
